I was assigned to create a new identity for SpaceX, an American aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company that manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. Their ultimate goal is to enable people to live on other planets.

The new system carries through a vivid multi-color design, communicating SpaceX’s belief in a multi-planetary life style

01.                Logo Mark




The logo is named “The impossible”, and it seeks to represent SpaceX’s journey of actively developing the technologies to make humanity be out exploring the stars.

Complex, yet precise, the logo uses the density of the lines to mimic a spacecraft’s path landing on Mars, which represents the hard work behind SpaceX’s each launch. The mark also conveys the continuity of pushing the boundaries and making imagination possible. The custom designed typeface carries through the same idea and evokes a rounded outline but edged inside that is precise yet dynamic.
